Details: As a morning show host, you’ll be the talk of the town!  Here’s an opportunity to showcase your skills as an entertainer, interviewer and commercial spokesman!  If you’re creative, caring and have a passion for telling stories, sharing views on sports and politics, we want to hear from you.  You will have all the resources to succeed with our long time team of broadcast professionals.  We want to make you the voice of Danville, Kentucky, a small town like no other in America.  Danville is the home of Centre College, the Great American Brass Band Festival, the Kentucky State Barbeque Festival and in the middle of the Bourbon Trail.  Every day is adventure! Job Responsibilities:                                                

  • Host the morning show Monday-Friday.  Give the weather and traffic conditions, deliver the sports scores and interview Coaches, Community Leaders and Business Owners.  Comment on matters of interest to the audience.  Interact with the audience. 
    Write and record advertisements, public service announcements and station programming announcements. Participate in station promotional events. Operate the control board for your show and set up for remote live broadcasts.
    Opportunity for the directly selling of advertising space to the local businesses.
    Represent the station in a professional manner that projects a positive station image at events. Have a cheerful attitude on and off the air.

Experience Requirements:

  • 2 years of working with the public as an entertainer and/or journalist.

Qualifications Requirements:

Reliable, creative, outgoing and personable; able to interact with the public.  Project an appropriate station image with respect to dress and demeanor.  Ability to take/post pictures, video and social media.  Must have the ability to work well in a team, as well as individually.  Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.  Pleasant, charismatic and well-controlled voice with excellent pronunciation. Have the ability to make others feel comfortable and open up on the air.  Well-rounded communication skills for conducting interviews. Knowledge of media production and broadcast systems a plus.
